The Free Spirits Ensemble Presents "A Moment In Time", September 9, 2012

The program will open with “Final Flight”, a memorial piece for Alan Neilson. Lind’s “Final Flight”, for string quartet, will be performed by Tasi Matthews, Concertmistress of the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, Laura Thomas, Michael Castelo, principal violist of RSO and Jane Salemson, cellist. Actress Serena Ebhardt and David zum Brunnen of EBZB Productions join the Free Spirits Ensemble in a concert that explores the people and political intrigues that have influenced 20th century composers.

Jim Williams, clarinet, Wayne Leechford, baritone saxophone and Lanette Lind , piano, will perform a program that includes music of Horovitz, Prokoviev, Piazzolla and Khatchaturian.
