One of the new films screening at the upcoming 2023 Naples International Film Festival (October 26th through Oct 29th) is one that we believe resonates with the times in which we live, but also with your interests, your studies, and your work there in the Naples/Ft. Myers region - The Problem of the Hero We encourage you to spread the word, make your plans, and bring a friend to attend one of two screenings - Friday, October 27th at 1:30 pm, at the Paragon Theatres Pavillion in Naples, and then Saturday, October 28th at 8:15 pm, also at the Paragon Theatres Pavillion. One of the film’s producers is a current Cape Coral, FL, resident, Ayana Johnson, who will be in attendance with several others from the film. This will be the film’s Florida Premiere. Both screenings will take place in Auditorium 10.

TODAY’S CURTAIN SPEECH- Before we start we also want to remember someone very special to this community, region, the state of NC & beyond. A truly remarkable woman by the name of Linda Bamford was someone who lived a vibrant, caring & giving, full life, focused on making sure students like you enjoyed as many arts & educational experiences such as this one & many others - as much as possible, as often as possible; she was an inspiration & a wonderful guide & leader to so many in the RDU area & far beyond; she passed away last week & we honor her today. She certainly played a major role in our being able to be together here today. #TheWrightsofPassage
